Attendees:

The
July minutes were
approved.
Accident
and injury reports were reviewed and discussed.
There was one time loss claim in July.
The committee discussed the dog
bite that occurred at
PARS. The employee received minor
abrasion to the face, but did not seek medical treatment.
Tom was not aware of anyone at PARS that has
filed a permit with DPS. He commented
that as the number of employees that bring their dogs to work grows,
problems
such as the waste materials, human allergic reactions, and interactions
with
people who have a profound fear of dogs naturally increases.
Old Business
Kathy talked to the ASUO and relayed the
recommendations
that the committee made last month concerning bike safety at the street
faire. They will take these under
consideration.
The next Safety
Advisory Committee meeting will be held in the EMU Alsea Room on
Thursday, September
15th from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
