Environmental Health and Safety offers training in the use of hand held fire extinguishers.  The class is tailored to participant's needs and lasts approximately one hour.  Actual class length depends on the number of attendees. 

Training includes fire classification, how to tell if your extinguisher will put out the fire at hand, parts of an extinguisher, how to use the extinguisher, and hands-on use of a fire extinguisher.
